Halloween?!

Yes, we went to a Halloween party last night. Matt dressed up as Ben Franklin and Kate dressed up as Carrie from the Stephen King novel. Ben is happy because he just discovered electricity and Carrie is trying to find a way to kill the photographer. When I (Kate) came downstairs in my full costume and Jack caught a look at me, he backed up slowly and ran for the door. (Update: I remembered later, as he was backing up towards the door, he grabbed his jacket off the hook like he was going to be gone a while. SO funny.) It was a very elaborate party thrown by one of the mothers (Janice and her husband, Kim) in Kate's playgroup. Sans children! They had wonderful food, a Halloween cake, live music, a haunted house and they hired Professor Paranormal who wowed us all with his psychic abilities. Like, no joke, some of his tricks were pretty spooky. Very entertaining, we had a great time. Matt went to get Jack at Bonnie's after the party. Matt picked up the sleepy boy, who looked at him in his wig and lunged for his Grandma. Since we're not mentioning that, as soon-to-be parents of baby #2, we were back at home lying on the couch a little after 9pm, we'll say we stayed out all night like the youths we are and rolled in at a respectable 6am. =) That's our story and we're sticking to it.
